Stephen Caldwell, founder, chief operating steward and chief word architect Stephen Caldwell Photo

Stephen's career as a writer and editor covers more than 25 years and includes experience with newspapers, magazines, custom publishing, marketing, advertising and public relations. He understands the power of message and has a proven ability to craft a comprehensive messaging strategy and coordinate the people and processes necessary to bring it together -- on time and on budget.

As a pre-teen, Caldwell wrote articles about Little League baseball games for the weekly newspaper owned by his family in Marianna, Ark. After college and a successful stint as a sports writer and columnist for the Arkansas Democrat and Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, he served as editor of The Life@Work Journal, an award-winning magazine that explored the intersection of faith and work. He returned the Democrat-Gazette in 2002 and spent six years as city editor for the newspaper’s Northwest Arkansas edition, managing a team of editors and reporters covering one of the fastest-growing metropolitan statistical areas in the country.

He has written for a variety of magazines, from The Sporting News to Discipleship Journal, and collaborated on several books. His widely read column on fatherhood, The Dad Zone, appeared in the Democrat-Gazette’s family section for more than nine years.
